8 Brand Certifications · B2B Import Compliance
Our Certifications Across the World.
iClima holds 8 brand certifications as a certified air conditioner manufacturer covering the five trade regions where AC import compliance is most rigorous: the European Union, North America, Latin America, Africa, and the Gulf Cooperation Council. For procurement managers and compliance teams, that means one manufacturer covers the markets where a single missing certificate stops a container at the port. All certification documentation is included with each shipment — there is no separate application process for buyers in covered markets.
One factory. One quality standard. Three million units every year.

8 Marks That Clear Customs in Your Market
We maintain active and verified certification files for the EU, North America, Latin America, Africa, and the Gulf regions. Complete test reports and certificates are provided at the inquiry stage.
CE — European Conformity
CE marking is mandatory for any AC unit placed on the EU market. A product without CE marking does not clear EU customs. With CE already on the iClima product, no additional conformity assessment is required at the importer level. The Declaration of Conformity is included in the shipment documentation package.
CB — IEC International System Certificate
The CB certificate reduces the cost and time of gaining local market approval in countries that participate in the IECEE scheme. In many markets, CB is accepted directly or requires only minor supplementary testing rather than a full independent safety evaluation. This is the single most cost-efficient certification for buyers operating across multiple non-EU, non-North American markets.
UL — Underwriters Laboratories
UL listing is required for AC equipment sold through US retail channels and specified in US commercial building projects. Many US state and local codes require UL-listed equipment for permitted HVAC installations. Without UL, the product does not qualify for the majority of US residential and commercial project specs.
AHRI — Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute
The AHRI certificate is the performance standard required in US commercial project specifications. When an engineer writes a cooling capacity requirement into a commercial project spec, they write it in AHRI-certified BTU. A product without AHRI certification cannot be substituted into a US project spec without a project engineer's written exception. For buyers targeting US commercial and government projects, AHRI is non-negotiable.
RETIQ — Colombian Energy Efficiency Label
RETIQ is required by Colombian customs for AC import clearance. Without it, AC units are not legally importable or saleable in Colombia. iClima products carry RETIQ, which means Colombian importers receive documentation that clears the customs stage without requiring additional local testing or re-labelling.
RTCA — Central American Conformity Mark
The RTCA mark gives buyers a single certification that satisfies import requirements across five Central American countries. Rather than managing five separate national approvals, buyers in the region work from one document set. This is the only certification covering all five Central American markets simultaneously.
GMARK — Gulf Standards Organisation Mark
The GMARK mark is mandatory for AC equipment imported into GCC countries. Without it, products are stopped at Gulf ports. iClima's GMARK certification means buyers importing into the Saudi, UAE, Kuwaiti, Qatari, Bahraini, or Omani markets have a single mark that satisfies all six customs authorities. No additional local testing is required in covered GCC states.
ISO 9001 — Quality Management System
ISO 9001 is not a product certification — it is a factory certification. It means that the quality system behind the product is independently audited and documented. For procurement teams evaluating a new supplier, ISO 9001 is the minimum evidence that a factory operates a documented process rather than an undocumented one. For buyers placing orders 30 days in advance, ISO 9001 means the production system will behave the same on day 30 as it did when the sample was approved.
Factory Certifications Covering 140+ Countries
The manufacturing facility behind iClima holds certifications for 140+ countries. For markets outside the 8 confirmed brand certifications, contact us to check availability against our factory's broader portfolio. Importers in most international markets have a path to compliant import without starting from scratch.
How Certifications Travel With Your Order
Every certification follows a defined process from inquiry to shipment, ensuring documentation is accurate and arrives in physical form.
Inquiry
Confirm your destination market. We check national standards immediately.
Quotation
The quote specifies which certifications apply to your market and confirms availability. No guesswork at the border.
Order Confirmation
Certification documentation is locked as part of the order record. Nothing is arranged separately after the order closes.
Shipment
Certification documentation, test reports, and Declarations of Conformity are packed in the container. The paperwork arrives with the product.
Re-applying Certifications to Your Brand Name
For buyers ordering under their own brand name, the same safety and performance certifications are re-applied to the buyer's brand at the order stage.
Because the underlying safety and performance data belongs to the physical product rather than the brand label, no independent re-testing is required. The transition is documented, processed, and included directly in your shipment documentation package.

Frequently Asked Compliance Questions
CE marking is mandatory for all AC units sold in the EU. The CB certificate provides the IEC baseline electrical safety report accepted by EU customs authorities and many individual EU member state bodies. Both are included with iClima shipments to EU buyers.
UL listing is required for US and Canadian retail and project supply. AHRI certification is required for US commercial project specifications. Both are held by iClima and included in shipment documentation for North American buyers.
The GMARK mark is mandatory for AC import into Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. iClima holds GMARK certification. A single GMARK document satisfies customs requirements across all six GCC member states.
Each shipment includes: applicable certificates of conformity, test reports, Declaration of Conformity (for CE), AHRI certificate data (for US/Canadian orders), and any additional market-specific documentation confirmed at the inquiry stage. No document needs to be requested separately after the container ships.
For OEM orders, the existing iClima certification documentation is re-applied to the buyer's brand name. The product does not require independent re-testing. The re-application process is confirmed at the order stage. Documents are prepared under the buyer's brand before the shipment is packed.
The manufacturing facility holds certifications covering 140+ countries. For markets outside the 8 confirmed brand certifications, the process is: inquire with your destination market confirmed, and availability is checked against the factory's broader portfolio. Documentation is provided at the order stage where available. Contact our team to confirm your market.
